It all started on an ordinary night when boredom led me to scroll through my feed. A riddle caught my eye:

“You are asleep inside your house. The doors are closed, the windows are closed, the lights are closed. Someone knocks on the door. What do you open first?”

I posted it, half-expecting silence. Then a private message appeared.

“Eyes.” — Kate

I laughed so hard I had to cover my mouth. In that simple, clever answer, something inside me lit up. I replied, and from that moment, our conversation never really stopped. Days turned into weeks. Night couldn’t come without her name lighting up my screen. We went from strangers to friends, then to something deeper we couldn’t yet name.

When I asked where she lived and she said Bogo, my heart sank. Distance felt too heavy, so I decided to let it fade.

But fate had other plans.

During my OJT at CTU Carmen Campus, our eyes met across the room. Time slowed. There she was — the girl from Bogo, studying in the same place I was. In that glance, I knew I had been wrong to walk away. This was our alma mater bringing us together.

Our first date at Carmen Plaza was pure magic — singing duet songs with her friends, laughing until our stomachs hurt. From there, every moment felt written in the stars.

Months later, under the beautiful lights of Maravilla, I asked her to be mine forever. She said yes.

Today, two hearts that began as strangers online are becoming one.
